Volcanic Dust from the Icelandic Eruption, 2010: Eyjafjallajökull

The 2010 eruptions (see Wikipedia for more information) of the volcano in Iceland near the Eyjafjallajökull glacier was noted for the huge amount of dust produced. This caused huge disruption to much of NE and W Europe. The images of the dust shown here were taken from samples collected in Hurstpierpoint, Sussex, UK.
